“Ramón y Cajal” fellow at URJC (Madrid – Spain) + Visiting Fellow in River Science at Loughborough University (UK).
I am a freshwater ecologist conducting research at the intersection of applied ecology, biological invasions, and river science.
My work primarily focuses on stream macroinvertebrates as indicators of ecosystem functioning and ecological status, with the broader goal of supporting the conservation and management of aquatic environments. My recent research explores the complex and far-reaching implications of biological invasions across a range of contexts, including river biomonitoring, global change biology, and species distribution modelling.
