I am a plant ecologist focused on the evolutionary responses of plant populations to climate change, and on how phenotypic variation is shaped by genetic and environmental factors. In my research, I combine experimentation with quantitative genetics tools, molecular biology, and observational field studies to unravel the role of adaptive evolution and phenotypic plasticity in population responses to environmental change. At a broader scale, I am interested in understanding the mechanisms that regulate plant coexistence in Mediterranean communities.
