I am a biologist with a master’s degree in biotechnology, and my research focuses on genotypes that improve the performance of mixed crops and microbiome interactions, especially in seeds, and how these can modify the plant phenotype. My goal is to evaluate how the diversity of plant species and their interaction with microbiomes enhance the productivity and stability of ecosystems and agroecosystems. I analyze whether crop diversity increases biomass production and yield stability. I also investigate the impact of domestication on the microbiota of cereal seeds and how natural and artificial selection affect the evolution of traits in cultivated and wild plants. Additionally, I explore how microbial diversity can optimize sustainable agriculture.
