Nuria Navarro Andrés

I am a marine biologist focused on the study of planktonic communities in aquatic systems and the environmental parameters of water, recognizing the importance of plankton as a biological indicator, its role in global biogeochemical cycles, and its contribution to climate change mitigation through carbon sequestration. Furthermore, I work on coastal zone management and ecosystem service assessment, studying the vulnerability of coastal areas to climate change and anthropogenic impacts, including the perception of local communities regarding these impacts. These studies enable the development of socially inclusive mitigation and adaptation strategies, contributing to the conservation and sustainable use of coastal zones and oceans.
