I am a microbial ecologist, and I have worked on various research projects in both aquatic and terrestrial systems, always with a particular interest in microbial interactions with the environment under stress conditions and applications such as the bioremediation of contaminants. Currently, my research focuses on the interactions of the microbiome, primarily in plant seeds, and how these can modify the plant phenotype under stress conditions in a climate change scenario. To conduct this research, I combine classical microbiology techniques for culturing microorganisms and inoculating plants, along with molecular tools and bioinformatics processes for the taxonomic identification of microbial communities.
