I am a zoologist with a special interest in evolutionary biology. Most of my research focuses on biogeography, phylogeography, systematics, taxonomy, and species conservation. My research interests have focused on understanding evolutionary patterns and processes, primarily through the evaluation of topographic changes and the ecology of species to explain their speciation. I work with diverse animal groups such as amphibians, reptiles, mammals, birds, fish, arthropods (especially ants), and parasites from various regions of the world.
