I am freshwater ecologist currently involved in the WarmSize project, where I investigate the effects of temperature on body size and metabolic rates in organisms under multiple-stressor conditions, using an experimental approach.

I have worked across various freshwater ecosystems using bioindicator-based and multiscale approaches to understand how communities respond to environmental change. My experience includes the study of structural and functional food webs and the evaluation of energy flows in communities exposed to multiple stressors in both micro- and mesocosm experiments.

My previous research has focused on the combined effects of temperature, nutrients, and light on the growth and toxin production of Microcystis aeruginosa, as well as on the effects of temperature and habitat fragmentation on early periphytic colonization.
