I am a zoologist in the field of marine biology interested on the biodiversity, systematics, morphology, evolution and adaptations of the microscopic invertebrates that inhabit benthic environments expanding from shallow areas to the deep sea known as meiofauna. I conduct integrative research combining taxonomy, traditional and cutting-edge morphological techniques with state-of-the-art molecular methods (NGS). My research expands across multiple animal phyla but focuses on the most enigmatic and understudied ones such as kinorhynchs, loriciferans and priapulids.
