I am a microbiologist specialized in bacteriology. My research is focused on the study of beneficial bacteria-plant interactions, mainly for use in agriculture or forest recovery. Within the field of agrobiotechnology I have developed protocols for the analysis of bacterial biodiversity at physiological and genetic molecular level and the study of its potential for the improvement of plant safety, quality and productivity in the framework of sustainable agriculture, using microbial bioinoculants based on multifunctional bacterial consortia.
