I am a biologist currently completing a master’s degree in biodiversity and conservation of tropical areas, a path that has led me to explore the fascinating world of marine invertebrates. My work focuses on meiofauna, particularly on the biodiversity, systematics, and evolution of kinorhynchs, a group of microscopic invertebrates that inhabit marine sediments. I am interested in understanding meiofaunal diversity, the evolutionary adaptations that allow these organisms to colonize marine sediments, the patterns underlying their distribution, and the role that small benthic invertebrates play in the dynamics of marine ecosystems.
