Marcos Méndez Iglésias
I am an ecologist with very diverse interests, mainly aimed at unraveling ecological and evolutionary patterns. My main lines of work deal with the evolutionary ecology of traits related to reproduction in plants, the diversity of sexual systems in angiosperms, and the structure of arthropod communities. I am also interested in the conservation of arthropods, especially spiders, dragonflies and saproxylic beetles. In addition to from field work, from the subarctic to the tropics, I regularly use data mining and large-scale literature reviews, as well as citizen science projects.
