Luis Giménez Benavides

I am a graduate in Biology from the Universidad de Alcalá (2000) and PhD in Science from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (2006). Professor in the Department of Biology, Geology, Physics and Inorganic Chemistry. My research interests are related to the evolutionary and reproductive biology of plants, the impacts of climate change on plant ecology and plant-animal interactions.

I teach subjects related to Biology and Ecology in undergraduate, graduate and master’s degree courses. I have also been course coordinator of the Biology Degree (2011-2020), Director of the Plant Cultivation Laboratory -CULTIVE- (2010-2021) and Deputy Director of Communication, Promotion and Sustainable Development of the ESCET (2020-2022). Currently Academic Director of University Social Responsibility, Vice-Rectorate for Quality and Strategy.
