Gregorio Aragón has created the biannual outreach bulletin “LÍQUENES Y ECOSISTEMAS” (“LICHENS AND ECOSYSTEMS” in English), a collaborative effort with other members of the IICG-URJC.

The first two issues of the bulletin are now available on the outreach page of this website.

The bulletin aims to raise awareness of the extraordinary diversity of lichens, their essential role in ecosystems, and the threats that endanger their survival. It includes a section dedicated to protected areas, where these species find refuge, and seeks to promote their conservation and ecological value. In addition, it offers regular features on statistics for natural areas, lichens as bioindicators, and recent advances in ecology.

It is aimed at technical staff, environmental managers, collaborating companies, and anyone interested in nature. It seeks to disseminate information about the importance of lichens and share the knowledge accumulated over the years, traditionally restricted to the scientific community. In doing so, it reinforces the social commitment to disseminating key information for the preservation of biodiversity.
