I am a limnologist with a primary interest in assessing the potential effects of increasing aridity on headwater stream food webs. I investigate how these changes affect fluvial communities either directly or indirectly through alterations in leaf litter quality and riparian vegetation composition. I also lead the INVASORIAN project, which focuses on analyzing the interactive effects between land-use changes and invasive exotic species on stream ecosystems functioning at a European scale. Currently, I investigate the interactive effects of multiple stressors on the functioning and diversity of fluvial ecosystems using a multiscale approach.
