Johanna Rojas Conejo
I am a chemical laboratorian, natural resource manager, and water quality specialist, focused on studying the quality of water for human consumption and surface waters. My work centers on identifying sources of contamination and proposing innovative solutions to improve water quality, thus contributing to better living conditions for affected communities and improving water resource management. In my research, I am particularly interested in understanding the effects of wildfires and agricultural burns on the physicochemical properties of soil and surface water, which involves monitoring, laboratory analysis, and the application of water quality indices. Additionally, I have been involved in developing water management programs in protected wild areas and strengthening capacities, particularly in the use of multiparameter equipment and the interpretation of chemical and microbiological analysis results.
