I am a community ecologist and biogeographer working at the intersection between biogeography, ecology and evolution. Combining the analysis of large databases with detailed field work and experiments, my research focuses on understanding the causes of the spatio-temporal organisation of biodiversity at multiple scales, looking at the mechanisms that enable species coexistence and their consequences for ecosystem functioning.
