On September 18, 2025, an unforgettable event entitled “Herbarium de Sabiduría: El legado científico de las Botánicas” (Herbarium of Wisdom: The Scientific Legacy of Women Botanists translated into English) took place in the Aula Magna 003 of Aulario I at the URJC Móstoles Campus. With this event, the High-Performance Research Group in Evolutionary Ecology of the Rey Juan Carlos University (EcoEvo) and the IICG, in collaboration with the Spanish Botanical Society (SEBOT), aimed to highlight the role of women in botany.
This event, which lasted a total of 8 and a half hours, gave us the opportunity to learn about the research work of 4 botanists from different parts of our country:
Thanks to the round table discussion held in the afternoon, attendees were able to delve deeper into the diverse topics they work on and also resolve many of their questions.
We at the IICG would like to thank these four wonderful researchers for their participation.
You can see a recap of this magnificent day in the Instagram post we made from the IICG.
