I am an aquatic ecologist interested in how and why the relationship between energy use and body size varies among and within species, particularly in relation to life-history traits and ecological preferences. Moreover, I am an enthusiast of biodiversity and its mechanisms of variation. To address these questions, I use a range of techniques including meta-analysis, field data, and lab experiments.
