Francisco Javier Jiménez López

I am an evolutionary biologist focused on flowering plants. My research interests focus on the evolution of floral traits, reproductive systems and their ecological consequences. I am interested in any aspect related to reproductive strategies in plants, from the lability of breeding systems, to the conservation consequences of different reproductive dynamics and changes in the morpho-functional traits of the flower. I apply multiple approaches: traditional reproductive biology, phylogenetics, community ecology, transcriptomics, phylogeography and population genetics.
