Ester Hernández Correas
I studied biology and specialized in ecology and biodiversity conservation techniques. Over time, I developed an interest in the social dimension of nature conservation. Currently, I work on perception patterns at the landscape level, with a particular focus on drylands. Specifically, I seek to understand the factors underlying these patterns, drawing from various fields such as ecology, sociology, and psychology. The main goal of my research is to identify the strengths and weaknesses that influence a society’s ability to appreciate its environment and engage in its care and preservation. My work is inherently interdisciplinary, fostering diverse synergies that enrich the research process and expand the impact of its findings.
