David García de León Hernández

I am part of the IICG-URJC management team, where I support research activities and contribute to the development and coordination of the institute’s projects and initiatives. I hold a Degree in Environmental Sciences (Autonomous University of Madrid), a Master’s Degree in Global Change (UIMP), and a PhD in Biosciences and Agri-food Sciences (University of Córdoba). My professional background combines more than a decade of research experience in plant ecology, biodiversity and global change, including international experience in Estonia, United Kingdom and Chile, together with university teaching and academic coordination responsibilities.

In recent years, I have broadened my profile towards project management, environmental management and technical advisory roles within public administrations, universities and research organisations. I am particularly interested in knowledge transfer, sustainability, and supporting evidence-informed decision making.
