I am an environmental engineer with a master’s degree in Conservation of Biodiversity. My research focuses on the effects of global change on the structure and fuctions of microbial communities in temporal rivers. Specifically, I use a multi-stressor approch that includes land-use intensification, climatic variables such as temperature and aridity, and te duration of the drying phase of rivers, as stressors that reshape fungal and bacterial communities in streambed sediments and riparian soils.
