Cambio climático y parasitismo en organismos simbiontes: una aproximación multiescalar

This project investigates the climatic determinants of parasitic interactions between lichens and fungi—an understudied yet ecologically relevant component of biodiversity. Using a multiscale approach, we aim to analyse patterns of parasite diversity and prevalence in relation to climate gradients. The research integrates the development of a curated ecological database, with experiments under controlled environmental conditions. These findings will enhance our predictive understanding of climate-driven shifts in lichen-parasite dynamics and contribute to the conservation of these biotic interactions.
