From October 7th to 9th, 2025, the “9th Biodiversas Ecological Symposium (BES)” was held in the Lecture Hall of Department II on the Móstoles Campus of the URJC. This symposium was organized by the URJC’s Biodiversity and Conservation Area (Biodivers@s) and the IICG.
This 2025 edition was distinguished by the excellence of the 27 presentations, demonstrating the promising talent of the URJC’s young scientific community. Networking opportunities were strengthened, which will surely lead to enriching collaborations in the near future.
The 4 plenary talks were also a blast as we had the researchers: Ignacio Fernando Peralta Maraver (University of Granada), Nuria Sánchez Madrid (Complutense University of Madrid), Miguel Berdugo Vega (Complutense University of Madrid) and Ciro Cabal Ruano (Rey Juan Carlos University).
We would like to take this opportunity to thank this year’s organizing committee: Raquel Tera Martínez, Guillermo Gómez García, Stela Vlajos Gómez, Estrella Conde Raposo, Carlos Celdrán Fernández, Kevin Mejía Alarcón, and Ana Morales Alonso. And of course, congratulations to all the speakers for their excellent work!
You can find a video recap of this symposium in an Instagram post. Don’t hesitate to check it out!
