To monitor compliance with the Habitats Directive (Directiva 92/43/CEE y Ley 42/2007 del Patrimonio Natural y de la Biodiversidad y Catálogo Español de Hábitats en Peligro de Desaparición), TRAGSATEC has a team working on the monitoring of non-riparian forests and scrublands. This team requires specific and highly specialized support for the review and collaboration in the application of official standardized procedures for the THIC of forests and scrublands. This support involves compiling, analyzing, integrating, and reviewing documents generated from field, office, and laboratory data, and subsequently analyzing the conservation status of THIC in forests and scrublands in Spain. The nstituto de Investigación en Cambio Global at Rey Juan Carlos University (IICG-URJC) provides this support to the TRAGSATEC team through this technical assistance.
