Ariadna García-Astillero Honrado

I am a biologist currently pursuing my PhD at the Global Change Research Institute. My thesis, entitled ‘Structure and functioning of lake food webs’, aims to understand how lacustrine aquatic communities respond to biological and environmental changes within the context of global change. My research combines fieldwork in high mountain lakes of the Iberian Peninsula with quantitative analysis to unravel the mechanisms underlying food web composition and dynamics at local and global scale.
